BLACKOUT FOAM PARTIES
A throwback to the nights when the party didn’t stop at sundown.
Grab some wearable LEDs and dive into an expansive ocean of foam as it comes to life with high-energy music and dancing stage lights to create an atmosphere that feels bigger, wilder, and a little nostalgiac.
Inspired by the legendary foam parties of nightclubs and college sororities years ago, BLACKOUT brings the Y2K magic to a whole new crowd, right in your backyard.
Frequently Asked Questions
Great for tweens, teens, and adults, BLACKOUT is our take on a foam party after dark.
Unlike a UV foam party, BLACKOUT doesn't depend on glow-in-the-dark additives or black-light equipment to create the atmosphere. Instead, the night's natural darkness, thoughtfully placed lighting, pulsing music, and high-piled foam offer an immersive sensory experience unattainable during the day.
Nope! Because Foamstead's BLACKOUT foam party experience doesn't rely on UV-reactive additives, there's no staining residues to be left behind on skin, clothing, or swimsuits.
Just plain old water and air.
Nope! While young children will probably be too cranky to enjoy an activity at the late hour BLACKOUT requires, it's exceptionally popular with tweens and teens as a rare and thrilling "past-their-bedtime" treat.
Whether it's to welcome your marching band home from their out-of-state competition, keep the party going after prom, or spice up a Quinceanera after Abuelita has gone home, a BLACKOUT foam party is the flashiest method by far.
We believe the soundtrack makes the experience. BLACKOUT playlists are a big step up from our daytime party tracks, blending high-energy electronic dance music with crowd-pleasing favorites that keep the energy up and the good times rolling.
For adult events, we like to turn up the nostalgia with iconic hip-hop and club anthems that defined generations. Want to check them out ahead of time? Just ask. And if you're picky, we're happy to build a custom playlist to your tastes for a small fee.
Absolutely! BLACKOUT draws inspiration from the iconic foam parties that took over nightclubs and college sororities—big energy, a packed dance floor, and a night you'll never forget.
Whether you’re planning a new special event or looking to spice things up for your regulars, BLACKOUT brings a nostalgic nightlife experience back with a fresh twist.
Worried about capacity? Don't be. Foamstead's experiences are built to scale, so we can handle any crowd you put in front of us. When you submit your booking request, we'll review all of the details and reach out to discuss the best setup for your venue.
Why not UV-activated glow foam?
Fair question. Lots of providers offer evening glow-in-the-dark parties utilizing UV foam additives. There's nothing inherently wrong with using them, we just prefer not to.
UV additives do make for a striking visual, but they come with... asterisks.
Guests have to be mindful of what clothing they wear, and what they use to clean and dry themselves with afterward, since there is a chance of staining.
Some guests may have allergies or genetic sensitivities that can be activated by the UV lighting or pigment that's required to create the glowing effect. Worse, they may not know that they have these sensitivities if they haven't been exposed to these elements before. Safety is extremely important to us, and an unexpected medical episode is not our idea of a great party experience.
In short, being UV-Free helps us rest easy. Luckily, foam doesn't have to "glow" to glow. Thanks to thoughtfully placed and programmed LEDs, we can illuminate the foam with a myriad of mesmerizing colors for an equally immersive after-dark experience.
